The Monteleones are a high class Italian family. In fact, they're The family. Not directly involved with the Mafia, they've become more a representation or figurehead of Italian class. Sizeable donations made to the right people keep them there. And the Monteleones really don't miss the money, the donations being akin to a drop in the ocean to them. The family can be traced back several thousand years and to call them rich is to call the sky kind of big.

Raffaello Monteleone is the head of the family. He has two sons. Gabriele is the oldest, Raffaello's main heir, and one day patriarch. And Guglielmo. Who they all 'love very much even if he isn't exactly what you'd ask for in a son and heir'.

Constantly on the verge of saying something insulting and offensive, Guglielmo Monteleone is of the opinion that the rest of the world is there for his own amusement. With a family fortune that redefines the word vast...and fortune, for that matter...he may well be right. Not to mention his father and brother's ties to Italian crime families, which have come in handy in the past when bribing his way out of situations hasn't worked.

Morality is a dirty word and his main motivation is amusing himself. Guglielmo is spoiled, selfish, self-absorbed and quite open about being like that. And very unapologetic for it, or anything else. Apologies are for the poor people.

He has made a habit in the past of buying the business' of employees who annoy him just to fire them. He smokes cigars and also has a habit of blowing the smoke in people's faces. Tending to look like he's always seeing something or someone he's laughing at, Guillermo doesn't seem to make great first impressions. 'A smug fucking asshole' as some have put it.

His wife and daughter were killed nine years ago. Guglielmo generally refers to his wife as The Harpy, when he talks about her at all. And as he's told Caleb, "Just because she's gone, doesn't mean I can stop loving her." Any woman after her is only entertainment...like a good movie, only with more touching. He's got a tendency to get bored with them after a few viewings though.

He doesn't say much about his daughter.

Guglielmo mostly spends his time travelling, purportedly seeing to his various business interests around the globe.
